These three upgrades will help modernize your rental home.
In case you haven’t heard, a big trend has been happening in home design for the past three years or so: Homes are changing from a transitional to a more modern look. If you want to make your rental home look more modern, you don’t need to remodel the whole thing. Here are three upgrades that are worth the most bang for your buck:
1. Paint. This is the most economical suggestion I can make, and I recommend going for more of a gray look. If you don’t want to go for a gray look, check out the other homes in the area for more ideas. Right now we’re seeing a lot of white in kitchens, which is also a pretty good look.
2. Light fixtures. If your home has any outdated lighting fixtures, try replacing them with something more modern. New light fixtures aren’t as expensive as you think, and they can really give your home a good pop.
If you want to make your rental home look more modern, you don’t need to remodel the whole thing.
3. Vinyl plank flooring. I highly recommend this in all rental homes. It’s tough, easy to install, and has that nice wooden look. Vinyl plank flooring is taking over the market, so if your floors are outdated or don’t look good, it’ll really change the look of your home.
