Should you or your tenant maintain the lawn?
Between you and your tenant, who should maintain the lawn? I believe that in 99.9% of cases, the tenant should be the one taking care of a rental home’s lawn. The reason has to do with the expense and the fact that they’re directly responsible for the property. If you hire a landscaper, it’s hard to know whether they’re really doing the job or throwing away your money. Keep it simple and have the tenant take care of the lawn—it’s their home while they rent, so they’re responsible for upkeep.
